postheadericon DSU Intro to Photoshop – Last Lesson

Yes, I have completed my first class for PS. I am hooked and I have already signed up for 2 classes in Febuary and 1 in March. I just can not seem to get enough. DSU makes the lessons so much fun and so very easy. I highly reccomend any of the DSU classes.

postheadericon Learning Something New Again

The Sunday Scrappers at DSP come up with some of the most inspirational ideas, I just love visiting their forum thread and chats. They have a challenge every two weeks, and I love all of them.

This time the challenge is Color, and it comes with a great tutorial created by Katie.

Here are a couple examples I have done so far.

postheadericon Best Tip Ever

I, like a hundred or so other people at DSP have alwasy had a problem posting a “pretty” link to our layouts in the forum threads. I always did mine the hard way, click back and forth a dozen or so times.
Well, now there is a simple and easy tutorial on how to do it.
Check here for both a video and written tutorial.
Thank you Kim!!

postheadericon Tutorial of the Day

One of our beloved Designers at DSP is always do “extra” little things for us. She makes freebies and tutorials all us time. This week she has a real simple tutorial on how to make reflections.

This is my first attempt at using her tutorial.

postheadericon Pen Tool Extraction Practice

I have spent most of my day learning to do extractions using the pen tool. It is much easier than it sounds. There is a very simple Quick Time Video Tutorial for it here.

There is also a fun Free Photoshop Action you can use here called Out of Bounds plus. You can use the pen tool to select the parts you want out of bounds.

I really enjoyed learning to do this, and I like how it looks. Give it a try, trust me, if “I” can do it, so can you!
